Welcome to Southend and Leigh Circuit website.
We are a circuit comprising 17 Methodist churches in the most
south easterly part of Essex. As well as Southend-on-Sea and
Leigh-on-Sea we also cover Canvey Island¸ Rayleigh, Hockley and
Rochford. We are part of the Bedfordshire, Essex and Hertfordshire
District of the British Methodist Church
Southend is famous for its pier - the longest in England at 1.3
miles and is popular with day trippers from London.
There are beach huts to sit in and birds to watch.
The Thames estuary is a popular place for sailing and the
sunsets are superb

This is the place where we are called to worship God and to
witness to the grace of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy
Spirit. It is here that we seek to be His missionary people living
the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Through prayer & worship; the reading and study of the
Bible; mutual support and fellowship; we seek God's empowering
through the Holy Spirit to be His missionary people.
We seek in Christian love and service, to reach out to
communities in which we are planted , and live the Good News of
Jesus Christ.
